musicto began in 2016 as a commercial playlist venture and has been reimagined twice: first into a global creative community, then into a registered 501(c)(3) foundation. It survived because we changed our business model instead of our values. We’ve never charged for track submissions, we’ve refused paid placement, we’ve said no to every revenue stream that extracted from artists.
Because musicto has never been for sale, artists and music lovers around the world trust us with their attention. It’s that attention that enables us to do what we were built for: working with music to take on big human problems.
